Knock-knock jokes
Somebody's at the door, and it's your turn to answer. Press the buttons to say your lines and the joke plays out one balloon at a time.
- At the doorKnock, knock!
Joke 1 of 47 this round, shuffled so none repeats until the round ends.
How it works
The joke teller knocks first. Press Who's there? to answer, and they tell you who's at the door. Press the next button to ask "… who?", and the punchline arrives in a yellow balloon. Next joke deals another from a shuffled pile, and Copy script copies all five lines so you can tell the joke to someone else.
Writing your own knock-knock joke
Every knock-knock joke hangs on one word or name that sounds like the start of something else: Olive sounds like "I live", Kiwi like "can we". Say a few names out loud, listen for the phrase hiding inside, then finish the sentence. Type it into Write your own and press Play it to try it out in the comic panel. It stays on this page and is not saved or sent anywhere.
When you tell one out loud, wait for the "who?" before the punchline, and say the name exactly as written. The pun only lands if it sounds like the phrase.

Questions
Why do knock-knock jokes always start the same way?
The fixed opening is the fun part. Everyone knows their lines, so even small children can join in, and the listener helps set up the pun by asking "… who?" at exactly the right moment.
Are these jokes suitable for kids?
Yes. They were written for all ages: food, animals, neighbours and rainy doorsteps, with no rude words and nothing unkind.
Is the joke I write saved anywhere?
No. It only exists on this page while it is open. Copy it if you want to keep it, because reloading the page clears the boxes.
